I have just bought a new set of doors and had them resprayed, as the ones that were on Spade were a bit dodgy - they were starting to look like Swiss cheese.
The new doors are now shiny black and ready to go on the car.
A few other dodgy bits (around the lights and the a panels - any mini owner will sympathise with this) have been sanded and filled and are ready for paint.
I am making a dashboard and centre console for Spade too.
I am organising my route and the meeting points, and I'm trying to get some local media interest as well.

Well, the doors are on and the bodywork is finished. Spade is booked in on Wednesday to have the stickers put on.

Just got back from having the first set of stickers fitted. Photos are on the photo page - surprisingly enough!!

I have just had the mini rolling-road tuned, and it is running sweet as a nut now.
I have ordered some more of the stickers and they will be fitted before I go to the mini meet at the Tramways museum in Matlock tomorrow.

Well the tramways meet was great but I forgot to take my camera - DOH!!

Just woke up after my return from Scarborough. It was an excellent day, sun, sand, beer, and a great band to listen to. New pics have been added to the photo page and the Thunder fans page. Gonna go and clean the sand out of Spade now.....

Arrghh!! It's getting rather hectic now, There is sooo much to organise!!
I have had the towbar fitted and picked up the trailer, I have also finished the "Thunder" dashboard in Spade - it looks rather good, even if I do say so myself! Pics are on the photo page.
All my clothes are packed, as is the tent, food, ect.
Unfortunately, I am STILL waiting to hear from a couple of places about whether or not I can park up, so I have took the day off work tomorrow and I'm gonna spend the day chasing people.
AUGUST 8th
Got back from the tour yesterday and I am exhausted!!
I will be transferring my diary onto these pages as soon as I have unpacked everything ect.
